And now I know how you can explain meth crazed gay sex! Thank you right wing!

First, I'd like to say that I would like everyone who is FERVENTLY against gay marriage to take an oath that they aren't, in fact, gay. As Bill Hicks so wisely said: Anyone that far right wing has something really dark and twisted in their background, and the last few months continues to prove that to me.

Ted Haggard is another one of these "Focus on the Family" guys who has made a great living and gotten a lot of political power out of hating gay people. At a work meeting about three years ago, I had to listen to one of his hateful screed on how how gay people are adopting children, and how God Warriors need to do everything in their power to make sure it doesn't happen. It's also a fact that the White House is currently going through their records to purge that he was involved in the weekly Evangelical phone call for Bush to show he is a Good Christian Man, and plan the latest political gay bashing.

Funny then, how he is being accused of a relationship with a gay hooker who supplied him with meth. I won't even go in to how he is disgustingly dragging his children into every interview with reporters, even when the reporters are telling him they'd rather talk to him away from them so that they don't have to be subjected to questions that are of an adult nature.

You can get info on it from just about any blog, but the ones that I look at is how the Political Christian community (which is VASTLY different from an actual Christian community) is looking for someone to blame other than Haggard.

The most entertaining is Mark Driscoll, who blames the wives of preachers.

The money quote : "Most pastors I know do not have satisfying, free, sexual conversations and liberties with their wives. At the risk of being even more widely despised than I currently am, I will lean over the plate and take one for the team on this. It is not uncommon to meet pastors’ wives who really let themselves go; they sometimes feel that because their husband is a pastor, he is therefore trapped into fidelity, which gives them cause for laziness."

So, if his wife hadn't gotten fat, he wouldn't have to go to gay hookers for sex and drugs.

I wonder if I, as an agnostic, could get away with that excuse.
